It’s all in the details!
From the moment we arrived we could tell this was the place we had been dreaming of. Our trip was a year and a half in the making thanks to COVID... At check-in, we were shown to our cottage and although it did not meet our expectations, they immediately found us another cottage (46!!!) that was perfect for us. What sets Keyonna apart is by far the wonderful staff. Sendy Ann and Clinton were a great management team that went out of their way to ensure we were happy throughout our stay. Seth was the most attentive and thoughtful server, and beach service daily by him was a gift we looked forward to each day. At the restaurant, there were so many servers that worked seamlessly together, and with the risk of leaving someone out, we enjoyed getting to know Davina, Odeal, Tyrone, Aron, Francine, and all the others! The food...we were inspired by the wonderful selection, quality, and freshness of each meal! Over the course of eight days, we never got bored with our meals, as there was always a fresh catch of the day and many different options to chose from. Right down to the different daily fresh juices with breakfast. Our cottage was just what we wanted as it provided the perfect private getaway. We spent the mornings down by the beach and ocean in the lounge chairs, middays in our covered front porch, late afternoons in the private plunge pool, and evenings after dinner in our quiet cottage listening to the sound of the ocean. The twin outdoor rain showers were a great addition that we thoroughly enjoyed. Gail-Ann provided wonderful daily room service with unique little touches (flowers daily in the cottage and on the bed). The Bali bed was nice but in the afternoons it was a bit too warm inside to enjoy it but the view is tough to beat. Keyonna is just as beautiful as the photos on the website show. We are going to have a tough time down selecting which photos we took to display and share as we took so many :) A few notes to be aware of. The beach is public and a few times there were others not at the resort setting up directly in front of the cottages. Occasionally a local vendor would approach to sell their wares but were always friendly and not pushy. Because of our room location we had no WiFi service, but this was corrected when a router was placed in the room. Overall Keyonna is the perfect get-away for couples to focus solely on each other. The resort is a rustic gem with a no frills attitude, yet elegant all the same.
The Best Destination Wedding with a very Intimate Sunset Setting
We picked this place for the food reviews as this was of high importance next to our wedding. we were not disappointed. Ordering off menu was perfect and we got to have island dishes along with fresh seafood every day. The menu with many options changed daily. We ate a lot. The cottage on the beach with sunset view #43 will be the one we will definately return too. The staff was exceptional as well as managers resolving every issue and serving all your needs. no worries about a destination wedding as Chiquira did all the work and we just had to show up for a perfect sunset wedding with private wedding dinner right at our beach cottage. Perfect place for a seclusion getaway. Not crowded like huge hotels, but privacy and intimacy which is what we needed. can’t say enough about this place. Met many couples that have returned or will be returning. Oh by the way,it’s the best beach on the island.
Beautiful views and great food
If you’re looking for breathtaking views, a quiet place to relax with your partner, and to indulge in gourmet food around the clock- this is your spot. The staff is super friendly and receptive to all your needs.
Hope to come back again!
We loved keyonna. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, beautiful and accommodating this is the place. The staff is friendly and amazing, the food was always great and rooms are perfect. The outdoor showers are also wonderful. The beach isn’t private but you couldn’t really tell.
Just a GREAT Vacation!
After such a year we were looking for a resort that was easy to get to and Antigua is a direct flight from New York. I was also attracted by the fact that Keyonna did not have televisions in their rooms, nor were there buffet meals. Both facts signified to me that relaxation was the key and individual service was important. From the moment we arrived it was evident that the property is quiet and beautiful and wonderfully non-pretentious. We ate all our meals at tables in a airy open porch, right above the sea. We could opt to be by ourselves or to have a table set up to join others. The beach is spotless with lovely powdery sand and the sun bed/cabanas are very comfortable. The water is perfect. The staff is OUTSTANDING. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay even more individualised and comfortable. The wait staff remembered what our preferences were for breakfast and for drinks. I needed more shade in my cabana and immediately extra curtains were installed. My elected massage was excellent. And every night one and all gathers at cocktail time to watch the sunset on the porch. The food is very good, plentiful, and always interesting. The drinks absolutely divine. Thanks, Keyonna, for an outstanding vacation.
