Ajman Hotel
This hotel is Ajman’s original luxury beach retreat. The private beach is lapped by clear waters of the Arabian Gulf and is the largest of the area’s beachfront hotels; you won’t have to worry about getting a sun lounger here. There’s a shuttle bus three times a day that takes you to the most popular shopping centres in the area including Sharjah Blue Souk, Mall of Emirates and Dubai Mall – so you can be wandering around the world’s largest mall and viewing the Burj Khalifa in around 30 minutes (dependent on Dubai traffic), before returning back to the relaxed surrounds of your resort.
The hotel remains true to its location’s heritage – expect Arabian arches and pillared rooms. Dining covers a variety of cuisine, and there’s a good choice of facilities to keep you entertained if your holiday style is getting comfortable in-resort. Order seafood fresh off the grill at the beachfront Zanzi Bar, try the signature tandoori lobster at the Indian restaurant, Bukhara, or have wood-fired pizza from the Italian restaurant, Sabella’s. At The Spa, you can choose from a menu of treatments including Balinese massages at an outdoor sala, and keen golfers can take advantage of special guest rates at the 18-hole Al Zorah Golf Club. As well as a kids’ club and dedicated children’s pool, families can have an evening ‘out’ at the cosmic-themed bowling alley.
Most rooms have full or partial sea views and a private balcony, with the exception of Laguna Poolside Rooms which are in a separate building and are great for easy access to the pool. Superior Rooms on the first four floors have partial sea views, while the similarly-sized Superior, Deluxe and Signature Deluxe Rooms have fuller views. The larger Junior Suites have a separate sitting area while one of the hotel’s most luxurious options is the Deluxe Suite, which comes with a separate entrance area, living space and spacious balconies.
