PERFECT IN THE TRUE MEANING
Our stay was mind blowing and breathtaking. The staff is genuinely kind and know how to make the guest feels home. It's a very intimate and hidden place on the Zambezi river. One time during dining a hippo got out of the Zambezi in front of our dining table, like 5 meter away. That is priceless. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Great lodge and location
Of all the lodges and camps (5 overall) we have been to in Zimbabwe and Botswana this one was our favourite. Pros: - Beautiful location at the river - interior design was great - Spacious rooms with AC and lovely design - Private little pool outside your room to cool down - Fitness room and pool area - Great activities offered: Game drives, river cruises, Victoria falls - Larger city nearby great for dining out, visiting the Vic Falls or the famous bridge - management and staff very friendly, professional and client focused; especially Melody, Frances but the others also did a great job - Our guide Faithy did an excellent job: friendly, professional, funny and very knowledgeable - variety and presentation of food was excellent! Kitchen team did a fantastic job Cons: Seriously...nothing to complain about :)
Best lodge / great staff / awesome food / must visit lodge
We had an amazing stay treated like royalty by each and every staff member. The food was world class and the accommodation super luxurious and comfortable. The owner can be proud of Clive, Lodge Manager and his entire team
Private Island in the Middle of the Zambezi
We spent two nights here in a starbed treehouse as an R&R stop in the middle of our 2+ week safari. This was a perfect place to relax and take in the gorgeous Zambezi scenery. We loved the overall informal, yet polished and luxurious, vibe. Peter, the manger, greeted us at check in (and every time we returned to the island) and it felt like we were visiting a relative or friend. We loved talking to him throughout our stay and having drinks in the sunset bar with him and the other guests. These interactions were one of the highlights of our stay. Our starbed treehouse suite was absolutely stunning - one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed and I wish I could remodel my house after it. It was huge, light, and airy with endless hot water, a walk in closet, gorgeous details, and exceptionally clean. The treehouse also had an expansive deck with a table and chairs, chaise lounges, a plunge pool, starbed, and a beautiful view of the river. We loved the telescope in the room! The staff was very nice and our butler. Mathias, really did take care of everything we needed. Food was very good and plentiful, and the sunset bar area was a great spot for drinks. We did.a sunset river cruise one night, which was a very relaxing way to enjoy the area. We also did a tour of Victoria Falls, visited the micro brewery in town, and got massages. It was nice to have a number of relaxing activity options to contrast with the intense safari game drives of the rest of the trip. I would highly recommend Victoria Falls River Lodge as a rest stop on a safari trip. If you are able to, stay at least two nights. I would have been so sad if we had only stayed one!
