Woodcarvings include spears, masks, fish and much more. Some vendors will obligingly carve your name on the item, too. Of the jewellery, mother-of-pearl is the big thing. Filigree silver is a speciality.
Woven mats, coasters, trays and hats all make good souvenirs. Objects made of tapa cloth (pounded bark) are easy to pack and will be appreciated back home.
