Day 1 London/Cairo
EgyptAir flight Heathrow to Cairo, arriving that evening. On arrival transfer to the Movenpick Giza for a late supper and overnight.
Day 2 Cairo/Alexandria
This morning depart for the beautiful city of Alexandria, sightseeing on the way before arriving at your hotel, Helnan Palestine. Visit the Museum in Alexandria which includes Greco Roman, prehistoric and pharonic artifacts and Alexandria Library. Enjoy lunch near Montazah Park and some relaxation time at Montazah Park. Overnight Helnan Palestine.
Day 3 Alexandria
Today visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoukafa, Pompys Pillar and the Roman Theatre. Overnight Helnan Palestine
Day 4 Alexandria/Siwa
Depart early in the morning for the epic drive into the desert following in the steps of Alexander the Great. En route a stop will be made at the cemetery at El Alamein. Continue to Mersa Matruh for lunch. Drive to Siwa and overnight at the Siwa Paradise Hotel. A simple hotel but one of the best available. The people of Siwa lead a traditional existence rarely seen by tourism and it is a great insight as to how Siwans may have lived centuries ago.
Day 5 Siwa
Until very recently, Siwa was the most inaccessible of all Egypt's oases and is also one of the most fascinating. Its rich history includes a visit from Alexander the Great to consult the Oracle of Amun in 331 BC. Archaeologists, to this day believe that Alexander was buried here. The King of Persia led a 50,000 man army to the area to destroy the oracle, but the entire army was lost in the Great Sand Sea. Today visit Abu Sharouf lake, Senousy village, Gabal el Mawta the mountain of the dead and enjoy the sunset of Ain Fetnas. Overnight Siwa Paradise Hotel.
Day 6 Siwa/Cairo
An early morning departure through the desert to Cairo with packed lunches (approx. 12 hours). During the journey stops will be made at a number of monasteries depending on holidays and festivals. Transfer to the Mena House Oberoi for three nights
Day 7 Cairo
Today enjoy a half day tour of the Pyramids and plateau of Giza with an afternoon at leisure. Overnight Mena House Oberoi
Day 8 Cairo
A half day visit to the famous Egyptian Museum with a chance to the famous Tutankhamun. On your final night at the hotel enjoy dinner at the famous Khan Khalili restaurant. Overnight Mena House Oberoi.
Day 9 Cairo/Luxor - Cruise
Fly EgyptAir to Luxor. On arrival board the M/S Nile Beauty. Visit Karnak and Luxor Temples and overnight in Luxor.
Day 10 Cruise (Luxor/Esna)
Early morning start across the Nile to visit the West Bank - Valley of Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the colossi of Memnon. Evening sail to Esna and stay overnight.
Day 11 Cruise (Esna/Edfu/Kom Ombo)
Sail to Edfu, visit the Temple of Horus. Continue to Kom Ombo for overnight.
Day 12 Cruise (Kom Ombo/Aswan)
Morning visit to Kom Ombo Temple. Sail to Aswan and visit the High Dam, the granite quarry and Philae Temple. Overnight Aswan
Day 13 Aswan/Abu Simbel
Disembark after breakfast. Sail by felucca around the islands. Transfer by road to Abu Simbel and overnight at the Seti Hotel Abu Simbel Hotel
Day 14 Abu Simbel/Aswan
Enjoy a morning tour of the great temple to Ramses II at Abu Simbel. In the afternoon transfer to the Movenpick Resort for an afternoon at leisure and overnight.
Day 15 Aswan/Cairo/London
EgyptAir scheduled flight to Heathrow via Cairo arriving the same day.
Aswan Extension

Day 15 Aswan
Remain at Movenpick Resort, unescorted, for a further three nights. Enjoy the hotel's beautiful gardens on Elephantine Island or take time to explore the sights of Aswan and its beautiful islands.
Day 18 Aswan/Cairo/London
Fly EgyptAir to Heathrow via Cairo arriving the same day.
Lake Nasser Extension
Egyptian Classic: 13 nights
Abu Simbel: 1 night
MS Nubian Sea: 3 nights
Day 14 Abu Simbel
Remain at the Abu Simbel hotel for one extra night unescorted.
Day 15 Abu Simbel/Lake Nasser Cruise
Embark MS Nubian Sea sailing to Aswan over the next three days. Sail to Kasr Ibrim before sailing to Amada to visit the Derr Rock Temple. Sail to Wadi el Sebou for overnight. Visit the temple of Wadi el Sebou and Dakka. Sail to Aswan. Next day, visit Kalabsha built by the Roman Emperor Octavius Augustus and dedicated to the fertility and Nubian Solar deity. Also visit the nearby Beit el Wali, one of the oldest temples in the area.
Day 18 Aswan/Cairo/London
Disembark at Aswan and fly EgyptAir to Heathrow via Cairo arriving the same day.
