Excellent Place, wonderful staff
Gorgeous location with well groomed and clean mature estate. A joy to stay in. PRO: - Close to Kata Noi, a private beach, great for evening walks - warm and attentive service by staff, very helpful and up-front. - clean and well appointed rooms and facilities - gorgeous views of the Andaman seas CON: - as with older properties, there is an ongoing struggle to maintain facilities to their original standard in the tropical climate. That being said, the staff have made excellent effort to keep the place clean and orderly. - the restaurant appended to the hotel does not match the standard set by the rest of the establishment. Would be much improved if the standard of the dining facilities can be updated to international industry standard. Conclusion: Will recommend to friends the hotel, but not the restaurant.
Spectacular views in luxury surroundings
We stayed here for 4 nights in the private pool suite with spectacular views over Kata beach. The suite was large and very well appointed with a modern bathroom and all the expected in room facilities for a luxury boutique resort. It was the monsoon season so there were only short periods of blue skies and we were not fortunate enough to view the stunning sunsets this place is noted for, however the temperature was great and allowed us to fully utilize the private infinity pool and the views from this very private suite. The rain and winds made the cleanliness of the outdoor areas a little messy but the staff made several visits daily to attempt to keep this to a minimum. This would be a great little hideaway in the peak season to escape the crowds and enjoy the views of this excellent beach. The staff were professional and courteous at all times and were quick to assist with any requests we had. The breakfast buffet was well presented and provided plenty of variety in both European and Asian dishes and again in a stunning position to view the ocean and beach. A short 10 minute walk to get you into the hub of Kata beach and the shopping and dining precinct. I would certainly recommend the private pool suite to couples and honeymooners wishing to have total privacy in a spectacular setting.
Breathtaking views, luxurious stay
I stayed at Mom Tri's for a girls' weekend in July 2016 and can't say enough about how great this hotel is. My room had a breathtaking view of Kata Beach and the biggest bed I've ever seen - it must have been almost 2x the size of a King bed. Bathroom was modern and comfortable. Breakfast offerings were varied and of good quality while the restaurant was high end enough to be a "special occasion" dinner (though food was only good, not amazing). The two pools on the property are on the smaller side, but the one on the lower level has unbelievable views of the sunset. Staff members are nice but be free with tips for really great service. The area of Kata Beach accessible from the hotel seemed to be a private one shared by a handful of resorts. During my stay, it was sparsely attended and you almost had a section to yourself. Within 7 minutes walking distance is a small shopping/dining area. It's a little rustic (aka rundown) but it's very convenient for souvenirs, a cheap massage and the biggest and most delicious fresh coconuts you've ever had. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to couples and anyone who is more interested in tranquil luxury than a party atmosphere.
What can I say about this hidden gem of a place. On first arrival it is tranqil. Beautiful paths wind down through lush trees and garden with boqtiue villas tucked away. View is amazing looking towards beach then out to sea. You have to go see the sunset while eating at a beautifully set out dinning area. I admire the Thai people for the flavours of their meals. The food was delicous. Presentation of desserts and yes you have to try after a stunning main course. For those wanting a little more fine dining go here. Looking at a wedding venue or even honeymoon stay. Husband's treat the love of your life for an anniversary surprise. She won't be disappointed.
Fabulous hotel. Not many rooms which is what we wanted so we didn't have the annoyance of so many travellers at the pool or breakfast. We stayed in the beach rooms which have the exact Thai feel we wanted. It is great sitting on the balcony watching the ocean or inside of the heat gets abit much. The pool is great, lunch and dinner awesome. Just a stroll to the beach down the path was good too and a short walk into kata noi street for dinner or kata about 15 minutes walk which we only did once. You can even eat at another hotel if needed. Hotel staff are great. Oh and the bed is way bigger than a king size, you could fit 4 adults in it comfortably. There is nothing to complain about. Perfect hotel. We will be back.
