Resort information

An'nupuri is perfect for beginners and families with wide open gentle runs through the trees. Niseko Village (formerly Higashiyama) boasts an English speaking snow school, the Niseko Kid's Adventure Centre and some steeper, challenging runs. Grand Hirafu offers very varied terrain whilst Hanazono offers long quiet cruising runs and a large terrain park. Nearby Mt Moiwa (not included on the lift pass) is a real hidden gem with a number of groomed runs and abundant untracked powder to explore. There is a wide range of restaurants serving delicious local dishes as well as western cuisine, both in the main resort areas and neighbouring villages. The mountain restaurants offer affordable good quality lunches specialising in authentic Japanese favourites. Grand Hirafu is the liveliest village with a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops catering for the strong Australian market. Quieter bars can be found close to An'nupuri and Niseko Village.

Lift Pass

The Niseko United lift pass covers all 4 ski areas of Niseko - An'nupuri, Niseko Village, Hirafu and Hanazono. Nearby Mt. Moiwa has a separate lift pass, available locally.

Local Information

BEGINNERS

Beginners will relish the long wide, gentle snow sure slopes at An'nupuri, perfect for mastering the basics. There are also some long gentle runs at Hanazono.

INTERMEDIATES

Niseko offers plenty of opportunities for all levels of intermediates with plenty of long, well groomed blue and red cruising runs especially at Hirafu. An'nupuri and Hanazono. There are also plenty of opportunities for intermediate skiers and boarders to experience the joy of powder snow on the runs and through some of the gentler tree runs.

ADVANCED

Advanced skiers and boarders will find some steep challenging runs at Niseko Village and around the peak of the mountain. However with 30km sq of gate controlled back country to explore, the opportunities for hitting untracked steep, deep powder are superb.

APRES-SKI

There is a wide range of restaurants serving delicious local dishes and western cuisine, both in the main resort areas and neighbouring villages and the mountain restaurants offer affordable quality lunches, specialising in Japanese favourites. Grand Hirafu is the liveliest village with a wide range of bars and restaurants catering for the strong Australian market. Quieter bars can be found close to An'nupuri and Niseko Village.

ACTIVITIES

Natural hot springs or "onsen" with several beautiful, natural onsen to visit, night skiing, dog-sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, day trips can also be arranged to the city of Sapporo, home to an amazing Ice Festival in February, Winter Sports Museum, fish market, historic shrines and temples and shopping.

FAMILIES

Niseko Village has an international ski school with native English speaking instructors and runs the excellent Niseko Kids Adventure Centre offering day care and ski lessons, just outside the Hilton Niseko Village hotel.
