Whistler
Located approximately two hours from Vancouver, this year round resort is surrounded by alpine meadows, forests and sparkling lakes. Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains have acquired a formidable reputation amongst intermediate and expert skiers and boarders. Creekside is the oldest part of Whistler and started as a small local ski village with ramshackle buildings and a couple of eating houses. Today Whistler Village, which was developed in the 1970s, is a lively, cosmopolitan resort that sits nestled between the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. There is an excellent range of restaurants and bars and superb shopping, which combined with the fantastic skiing makes it one of North America’s best resorts.
