Choice of safari
Lodges: Many of our most popular safaris stay in comfortable lodges and travel is by minibus which allows you to see as much of the country as possible, whilst ensuring you see the very best of the wildlife. Lodges in Africa all have private facilities (except Treetops) including a shower, the rooms are comfortable but as they are in the game reserves they tend to be fairly simple.
Mobile camping: Safaris with accommodation in mosquito proof put up tents for two people. Comfortable bed rolls, sheets, pillows and blankets will be provided together with the traditional bucket shower and a tented toilet per camp. These are real African safaris and great fun!
First class tented camps: If you prefer permanent tented camps with good facilities then we would recommend Intrepids Camps. These beautifully set camps offer private facilities, electricity and swimming pools.
Deluxe tented camps: Governor’s Camps in Kenya and Kirawira in Tanzania and Mara Explorer in Kenya are also permanent tented camps offering the finest dining, service and locations.
On safari: Taking a safari is a unique way to see and learn about the wild animals you will encounter. While all reasonable precautions have been arranged for your safety, please remember that these animals are wild and at times unpredictable. They are not tame and they have no trainers or keepers. You are visiting their territory. Some camps are not fenced and animals such as elephant, hippos and buffalo may enter the camp to graze. No animal should be approached or disturbed. The guides selected for your safari are very knowledgeable and experienced and their advice should be taken at all times.
