Zambia Discovery 1
Awe-inspiring journeys through one of Africa’s least discovered countries.
Our opinion
The lodges and their wonderful settings provide some of the many highlights on this safari. A sense of real Africa is enjoyed with great service and rewarding game viewing.

Itinerary
- South Luangwa: 5 nights
- Victoria Falls: 2 nights
Day 1 London/Lusaka/South Luangwa
British Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Lusaka. On arrival fly by Zambian Airways to South Luangwa National Park and Nkwali Camp for three nights. Set amidst an ebony grove on the bank of the Luangwa River overlooking the grasslands of the national park, the camp has just six spacious chalet style rooms with en suite bathroom and veranda. The camp also has a swimming pool.
Day 3 South Luangwa
Enjoy the hospitality of Nkwali and the action filled days on safari. Each day, though flexible, will have two game drives/walks each day with time to relax by the pool in the early afternoon. This area of Luangwa is particularly good for viewing giraffe and leopard amongst the variety of resident wildlife.
Day 5 South Luangwa
Transfer to the far northern reaches of the South Luangwa National Park and Nsefu Camp for two nights. Just six beautiful rondavel style rooms open up allowing bed side views of the Luangwa River. Each room has an en suite bathroom and a wooden veranda. The camp lies in the heart of an undeveloped area and offers total comfort in remoteness and seclusion. The view of the river is superb and a terraced area allows game viewing during the day between game drives. The bar, tucked in beside a huge extinct termite mound, overlooks a waterhole that is very productive for game, especially leopard at night.
Day 6 South Luangwa
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives or walks. Night game drives are ideal for watching the nocturnal wildlife of Africa and Zambia is one of the few countries where this is possible.
Day 7 South Luangwa/Victoria Falls
Transfer to Mfuwe airstrip in the south and fly by Zambian Airways light aircraft via Lusaka to Livingstone for two nights or more at the superb River Club. Located overlooking the Zambezi the River Club offers intimate accommodation in two storey open sided cottages.
