Our opinion
For those looking to spend the majority of their holiday at the beach or for those looking to “bolt-on” extra sightseeing and game viewing to an exciting African adventure. Service can be slow but always friendly and food generally very good and plentiful, although you should not expect haute cuisine. A short safari combined with time at the coast is a unique holiday experience.

Itinerary
- Mombasa coast: 1 night
- Tsavo East: 2 nights

Day 1 Mon London/Nairobi/Mombasa
Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Mombasa via Nairobi arriving the following day.
Day 2 Tue Mombasa
On arrival transfer to the Leopard Beach Resort for one night on a half board basis. Dinner at the excellent Chui Grill (extra cost) is highly recommended here.
Day 3 Wed Mombasa/Tsavo East National Park
You will be picked up from the hotel in the morning in an air conditioned vehicle for the drive to the entry gate of the Tsavo East National Park. Here transfer into 4x4 vehicle enjoying a game drive en route to Satao Camp for lunch, your camp for two nights. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner.
Day 4 Thu Tsavo East National Park
Early morning game drive when the animals are still active, before breakfast and some time to relax. After lunch in camp an afternoon game drive follows, then dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Fri Tsavo East National Park/Amboseli (Elerai)
Early game drive before breakfast, after which you will exit the park and transfer to Satao Elerai, a brand new camp in the Elerai Conservancy in Amboseli, with lunch en route. Relax upon arrival before a spectacular night game drive which can often be the best time to see lions at their most active. Dinner and overnight follows.
Day 6 Sat Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast depart for a full day in Amboseli National Park with a picnic lunch included. Return in time for a bush sundowner on the conservancy. Dinner and overnight Satao Elerai.
Day 7 Sun Amboseli National Park/Taita Ranch
A nice change this morning sees a morning game walk, offering the chance to really feel part of the ‘the bush’. After breakfast depart with lunch en route to Taita conservancy. Arrive at Satao Rock Camp, where you can relax this afternoon and evening with dinner and overnight. Each tent has it’s own wc, and hot water for your shower is heated over a fire and brought to your tent on request – comfortable camping in true Kenya style!
Day 8 Mon Taita Ranch
Early morning game drive or walk today. After breakfast relax until lunch time, then enjoy a late afternoon game drive followed by a bush sundowner and a night drive on Taita Ranch en route back to camp. Dinner and overnight
Day 9 Tue Taita Ranch/Mombasa
One final early morning chance to see the big game before breakfast, after which you return to your airconditioned vehicle for your transfer back to the Leopard Beach Resort & Spa for seven nights basking by the Indian Ocean at this first class resort on the white sands of the Diani coast. Recuperate by visiting the Uzuri Spa & Fitness Forest for some well earned pampering
Day 16 Tue Mombasa/Nairobi/London
Kenya Airways overnight flight via Nairobi to Heathrow arriving the next day.
