Itinerary
- Chongwe River Camp: 2 nights
Day 1 Livingstone/Chongwe
Transfer to Livingstone airstrip and fly by Zambian Airways light aircraft to the Lower Zambezi National Park and the Chongwe River Camp for two nights. Simply stunning this camp is situated on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers on the boundary of the Lower Zambezi National Park. This pristine sanctuary is teeming with game, and one of Africa’s most picturesque wilderness areas. There is so much to do at Chongwe River Camp. The game viewing is exceptional, and few other places can give you the choice of game drives in open safari vehicles, guided walking, fishing, canoeing or motor boating. Enormous herds of elephant, some up to 100 strong, are often seen at the rivers edge. Other resident wildlife includes lion, leopard, buffalo, hippo, waterbuck, kudu, zebra, crocodiles, impala, warthog and an increasing number of wild dog. The birdlife here is equally breathtaking, magnificent fish eagles, crested guinea fowl, black eagle, vast swarms of hornbills, Meyer’s parrot and Lillian’s lovebird can all be seen.
Day 3 Chongwe/Livingstone
Return flight to Livingstone and transfer to your chosen hotel.
