- Kirkmans Camp, Sabi Sands: 3 nights

Day 1 Cape Town/Kirkmans Camp
South African Airways flight from Cape Town to Kruger Mpumulanga airport. On arrival transfer to the elegance and timelessness or Kirkman’s Camp, set in the south east corner of the legendary and game rich Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Originally built in the 1920’s, Kirkman’s camp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African homestead and enjoys spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sand river. Its gracious and colonial style has been retained and features include rolling lawns and infinity edged pool, lounge, bar and dining area. 18 cottage style rooms are comfortably furnished in the same colonial style and come with airconditioning, private terrace, en suite bathroom with separate shower and freestanding bath. Spend three nights here enjoying two daily game drives in the camps’ own open 4x4 safari vehicles guided by experienced rangers, interpretive bush walks and the unique atmosphere of the African bush.
Day 4 Kirkmans Camp/Ngala Game Reserve
This morning transfer (approx. two hours) north to Ngala Private Game Reserve, set on the western border of the Kruger and enjoying exclusive rights to almost 40,000 acres of game rich wilderness. Different in style to Kirkman’s but with the same quality and standards throughout, Ngala in a beautiful reserve comprising of a huddle of thatched buildings with the restaurant and swimming pool at their centre. Each of the 20 chalet style rooms is superbly furnished in African themes and furniture from a bygone safari era. All are airconditioned with an intimate terrace, a shower and bath. You will spend two nights with all meals, local beers and wines included and enjoy game drives with a ranger and tracker who will take you in search of the Big 5, wild dog, cheetah and many plains game species. A huge benefit of private game reserves such as Ngala and Kirkman’s is the absence of public vehicles or other tour buses, giving a much more intimate and personal safari experience.
Day 6 Ngala Game Reserve/Cape Town
South African Airways return flight from the nearby Hoedspruit airport to Cape Town via Johannesburg.
