- Aquila Private Game Reserve: 1 night
Day 1 Cape Town/Aquila Game Reserve
An early morning collection from your hotel is followed by a scenic 2 ½ hour drive via the Toitskloof Pass and the Worcester winelands to Aquila Private Game Reserve, a malaria-free lodge set in a 4,500 hectare reserve and home to all the ‘Big 5’ – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino, and the rare Mountain Leopard. After a welcome drink you can relax by the rock swimming pool in summer, or enjoy a roaring log fire in the lounge in winter. A buffet lunch is included then an afternoon game drive follows with one of the experienced rangers, including a visit to a Bushman rock art site. Snacks and sundowner drinks are served at a lookout point before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay in one of the comfortable chalet-style rooms that feature en suite bathrooms, outdoor shower and minibar.
Day 2 Aquila Private Game Reserve/Cape Town
An early morning game drive departs at around 6am, enhancing your chances of spotting one of the predators, as well the other numerous game including Wildebeest, Zebras, Ostriches, Baboons and Jackals. Coffee is served en route before returning to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast. After checking out, return journey to your Cape Town hotel.
