Itinerary

Day 1 London/Nairobi/Kigali
Kenya Airways overnight flight to Kigali via Nairobi.
Day 2 Kigali
On arrival you are transferred to the Novotel Umubano (standard option) or the Kigali Serena Hotel (superior option) where you will receive a detailed briefing of your trek and meet your guide before dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Kigali/Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, drive approx. ninety minutes north west through beautiful countryside to Ruhengeri, the main base town for gorilla trekking. A short briefing by the National Park guides follows then you enter the park in search of these magnificent creatures. The park is home to around 300 mountain gorillas and is dominated by bamboo forests, grasslands and giant lobelias. After spending a maximum of one hour with the gorillas lunch is taken at Gorillas Nest Lodge, situated at the base of Mount Sabyinyo with an attractive alpine facade. If time permits a short visit to the beautiful Bulera and Ruhondo lakes follows before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 Volcanoes National Park/Kigali
After breakfast re-enter the park for a second trek visiting a different gorilla family. The Rwandan side of the park is home to four families ranging in size from 9 to 38 members. After lunch return to Kigali in the afternoon where you will stay overnight at Novotel Umubano or Kigali Serena.
Day 5 Kigali/Nairobi/London
Transfer back to the airport for your overnight Kenya Airways flight to Heathrow via Nairobi.

Day 5 Kigali/Nairobi/Mombasa
On arrival in Nairobi connect with your Kenya Airways flight to Mombasa for four nights in a Standard room at the Leopard Beach Resort & Spa (Standard option) or the Serena Beach hotel in a Garden room (Superior option).
Day 9 Mombasa/Nairobi/London
Return to Heathrow flying Kenya Airways overnight via Nairobi.
