Itinerary

Day 1 to Day 2 London/Windhoek
South African Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Windhoek, via Johannesburg.
Day 2 to Day 3 Windhoek
On arrival transfer to Hotel Heinitzburg for an overnight stay.
Day 3 to Day 4 Windhoek/Etosha
Fly to Etosha National Park this morning, one of the largest game reserves in Africa where spectacular scenery and abundant game combine to make this one of the most rewarding areas of the country. On arrival transfer to Onguma Tented Camp for two nights, just five miles from the National Park and a beguiling mixture of sophistication and relaxation. The camp overlooks a palm fringed waterhole and each tent is spacious with luxurious bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers and a terrace overlooking the waterhole. An afternoon game activity on the reserve follows.
Day 4 to Day 5 Etosha
After a leisurely breakfast drive into the National Park for a rewarding day’s game viewing seeking out some of the rarest species such as the Black Rhino and the big cats.
Day 5 to Day 6 Etosha/Damaraland
Depart for Damaraland this morning, a land dominated by mountain ranges, steep escarpments, ancient highlands and barren valleys. You arrive at Mowani Mountain Camp for two nights where the deluxe tented camp is ingeniously built into the surroundings. Each tent is set on elevated wooden decks with views of the amazing landscapes and some with showers that are open and set in amongst the boulders. Lunch is followed by a siesta and an afternoon excursion to the ancient rock engravings of Twyfelfontein.
Day 6 to Day 7 Damaraland
A leisurely morning exploring Twyfelfontein and the surrounding area followed by lunch and an afternoon by the pool. Alternatively join a game drive down the riverbed in search of the rare desert-adapted elephant.
Day 7 to Day 8 Damaraland/Namib Nature Reserve
The final leg begins with a flight to Swakopmund where if time permits a short city tour follows then lunch (own account). Continue south along the coast towards the NamibRand Nature Reserve. Arrive at Wolwedans Dunes Lodge for three nights in a beautiful chalet with private deck and breathtaking views.
Day 8 to Day 9 Namib Nature Reserve
Morning excursion (or full day depending on seasons) on the unique Nature Reserve driving through dunes, grassy plains and mountain formations. Enjoy large and small game and learn about the ancient hunting spots of the desert bushmen.
Day 9 to Day 10 Namib Nature Reserve
Today either enjoy a morning or afternoon excursion or a walk in the Nature Reserve, see this stunning area from a hot air balloon (extra cost) or simply relax at the camp.
Day 10 to Day 11 Namib Nature Reserve/Windhoek/London
Fly back to Windhoek for your evening South African Airways flight to Heathrow via Johannesburg. Alternatively stay overnight in Windhoek then fly to Cape Town for three nights at the Twelve Apostles in a Mountainfacing room.
