Luxury tents in Africa are simply sumptuous. Generally raised on wooden decks and some featuring roll-up walls (should you wish to feel truly at one with nature) you can relax in your large comfortable bed, breathe in the scent of fresh linen and sink into blissful sleep. En suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers are standard, and some of our selected luxury tents have sunken baths or Jacuzzis! After a bumpy day in a 4x4, a hot shower and soft bed are simply heavenly.

Many of our chosen lodges offer great value, with comfortable furnishings all with touches of African flair. Some have rooms housed in the main building whilst others offer chalets or huts a small distance away. These permanent structures are often built to blend in with their surroundings and some are even set on stilts so animals can roam beneath them!

If you are seeking a more rustic, authentic experience, our camping safaris have been designed to offer just that. Tents are either semi-permanent or pitched at each stop. Less luxurious than their permanent luxury counterparts, they are still comfortable and the central mess tent, bar and campfire offer camaraderie and an atmosphere found nowhere else.
