One of Oman's most beautiful remote regions
One of the least visited but most scenic areas of Oman, the Musandam Peninsula coastline has natural beauty in abundance. Scored with spectacular jaded creeks often compared with the Norwegian fjords, its unique geological features prove equally spectacular whether from beneath the waters rich in marine life, or from a high mountain vantage point.

Musandam Holiday Highlights
Set on the northern tip of the Arabian Peninsula and split from the rest of Oman by the UAE, this is Oman at its most spectacular. Here you will witness sheer-sided khors (fjords), towering mountains rising from the Gulf coast up to 2000 metres above sea level, and sweeping bays backed by majestic peaks and dotted with quaint coastal villages accessible only by boat.
Musandam’s capital city of Khasab is the perfect base from which to explore this remote area. The city itself sits on a natural harbour that was developed in the 17th Century by the Portuguese and, until recently, it was only accessible by water or air. From here you can visit the Bedouin village of Sayah where you can see petroglyphs that are believed to be over 3000 years old; head to the peak of Jebel Harim, the highest on this rugged peninsula; and take a dhow cruise around Telegraph Island.
