I've been lucky enough to travel all around Mauritius, but Preskil truly has the best spot on the island. It really does have the wow factor when you arrive - the views out to Ile aux Aigrette marine park and the calm blue lagoon waters just make you relax in an instant. The staff on Preskil are just so lovely - try and learn a few words of French and they will love you for it. On the all inclusive you can eat at a choice of restaurants. My favourite was Charka - one of the best steaks I've ever had, served with a bottle of sparkling wine, all opened with a bit of theatre by the waiter with a samurai sword!

On the south-eastern coast close to the historic village of Mahébourg, just 15 minutes from the airport but largely undisturbed by noise.

A choice of dining includes the main restaurant Spices, offering buffet-style international and local cuisine, and two à la carte restaurants: Tapas Grill and Beach Bar on the beachfront, and Charka Steak House & Bar. Facilities include two swimming pools, one  with integrated whirlpool and one with a children's area. For the active there is tennis and a fitness room, and bicycles, scooters and car rentals are available. Complimentary watersports include waterskiing, windsurfing, glass-bottom boat trips near Ile aux Aigrettes, canoeing and snorkelling. Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, glass-bottom boat trips to Blue Bay Marine Park, hobie cat sailing and catamaran cruises are offered at  extra cost. There is a miniclub for children age 3–11 years free of charge and a  babysitting service available upon request (extra cost). Guests can also indulge at  the Ylang Spa with treatment rooms including couples' spa rooms.

Accommodation information

The 200 rooms feature air-conditioning, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, flat-screen television, Wi-Fi (at a supplement) and balcony or terrace. All Kuoni rooms are sea facing.
Lagoon Rooms (38m²) are on the ground or first floor with shower only and full sea views.
Lagoon Honeymoon Rooms (38m²) on the ground or first floor feature a four-poster bed, more romantic décor and full sea views.
Prestige Cottage Rooms (42m²) are larger, in beach/lagoonfront cottages, with corner bath.
Deluxe Penthouses (64m²) are very spacious, on the upper level of cottages with bath, separate shower and excellent views.

Children's club

Qualified hostesses entertain children aged 3 to 11. Children's meals can be served earlier in the main restaurant for the convenience of parents and a babysitting service is available on request at extra cost.

Includes homemade chocolate and a bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival in room, a bridal spray bouquet for the bride, a buttonhole flower for the groom, choice of wedding cake, two t-shirts, intimate wedding dinner and two tropical cocktails for the couple, a photographer with 24 shots on a CD, special romantic breakfast in room, a 20 minute couples massage on the day after the ceremony and all administration fees. The ceremony itself will be held in the Gazebo, in the garden or on the beach.
