Innovative and contemporary, Long Beach is set on the exceptional beach of Belle Mare.
Long Beach has a stunning beachfront location typical of many luxury resorts on the island, but it’s the interesting architecture and ‘cool’ atmosphere that provide its unique look and feel. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a wide open manicured lawn leading out to the sprawling beach. For those looking to play a round of golf on holiday – a free bus and boat shuttle runs to the renowned Ile aux Cerfs Golf Course which is located on an island just across the lagoon.
A charming piazza forms the resort’s focal point, surrounded by four authentic restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining: Sapori for Italian, Le Marché for international cuisine, Hasu for Japanese and Chopsticks for Chinese, plus a bar and the small funky nightclub, Bombora. By the beach, fantastic fresh fish is offered at Tides restaurant. A secluded spa has calming treatment rooms and tranquil outdoor spaces include raised treetop pavilions. There are also a lot of free activities here such as a climbing wall and windsurfing.
Rooms are stylish, spacious and light, set in three crescents around the resort. Superior Rooms (Junior Suites from January 2018) and Superior Seaview Rooms (Junior Suites Seaview from January 2018) are in two-storey buildings peeping over the top of Deluxe Beach Villa Rooms (Junior Suite Oceanfront from January 2018) – which are slightly larger and closer to the beach – out to the glistening waters. Family Junior Suites (Family Suites from January 2018) have a separate room with two sofa beds and an extra shower room while the huge Senior Suites (Long Beach Executive Suites) are right on the beach front.
The resort sits on a gorgeous stretch of beach – guests can hop on the glass bottomed boat to go snorkelling, enjoy the beach or lounge around the lovely pool and sample all the cocktails! At night, the resort comes to life with all the bars and restaurants centered around the piazza. You could have your starter in the Japanese restaurant, main in the Chinese restaurant and finish in the Italian restaurant for dessert! Our rooms were lovely and contemporary and I’d recommend the beachfront rooms to see the resort at its best. If you’re a golf fanatic, you have access to the course at Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club."
