Charming and informal, La Pirogue is set on a spectacular mile-long sand beach and offers plenty of activity when you want it . . . and undisturbed serenity when you would rather relax. Ideal for families with younger children as well as couples, the resort also enjoys use of facilities at next door Sugar Beach Resort.

On the west coast, hemming a white beach and shallow lagoon in the charming resort of Flic-en-Flac, approx. one hour from the airport.

Set in lush 35 acre grounds, La Pirogue has three restaurants including Thatches, the main restaurant with buffet-style dining and live cooking stations; Paul & Virginie, an à la carte beachfront seafood restaurant; and Citronellas, an Italian restaurant for light snacks and traditional dishes, plus a choice of three bars including a beach bar. There is also a fitness centre, hairdresser and boutique. Other facilities comprise an excellent children's club (4-11 years), playground, internet café, teen club and nightly entertainment including live bands.

Accommodation information

248 rooms are in thatched cottages with telephone, air-conditioning, television, in-house movies, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, bath, shower and terrace.
Standard Rooms (25m²) are located in the gardens.
Superior Rooms (35m²) are more spacious, set in detached or semi-detached cottages closer to the beach.
