A small circular island in the North Ari Atoll. Approx. 25 minutes from the airport by seaplane.

Gangehi has an international atmosphere, with facilities including two restaurants: Veli, the main buffet-style restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean, and the overwater bar and restaurant, Thari. The resort runs its own PADI certified diving and a spa provides beauty treatments, massages and yoga classes amongst the island’s lush green forest. A marine biologist accompanies guests on snorkelling trips from the beach and by boat, and also offers biology lectures and sea life documentaries in the evening. Extensive coral reefs and tantalising sparkling lagoons encircle the island, while a sand bar stretches out over 800 metres at low tide.

Accommodation information

40 dark wood bungalows, each with air-conditioning, private terrace, minibar, telephone and bathroom with shower.
Garden Villas (64m²) are as above, located in the island’s lush interior.
Beach Villas (64m²) have access to a small secluded beach.
Overwater Villas (76m²) sit above the lagoon with direct access to the ocean.
Overwater Deluxe Villas (102m²) are Maldivian in style with large terrace including day bed and access to the ocean, and semi-open bathroom.
Club Rooms (34m²) and the Family Garden Villa (76m²) are available on request.

An intimate island paradise with packages to Include breakfast served in the room or on the terrace, a 90 minute snorkelling tour with guide and equipment, one hour couple’s massage, traditional wedding cake, bottle of Prosecco with canapés and a fourcourse gourmet candlelit dinner with half a bottle of wine. The ceremony itself will be held on the resort’s powder-white beach.
