Blue Margouillat

Calm, comfort and beauty

A gorgeous boutique hotel combining stylish Creole architecture with bespoke art and fine dining.

With a name meaning ‘blue gecko’, this white-walled, turquoise-roofed spot is more like a beautiful house, with a fabulous art collection hung throughout the property and sculptures in the gardens. After a day’s sightseeing around the island, this Relais & Chateaux hotel is the perfect place to unwind.

Why we love Blue Margouillat

  • It’s an intimate and sophisticated retreat with all the luxuries and charm you’d expect from a Relais & Chateaux property

  • Thanks to its west-coast high on a hill overlooking the bay of Saint-Leu, the sea views and sunsets are breathtaking

  • The restaurant has a well-deserved reputation for excellence and a superb wine list to match

  • From June to September, you can spot humpback whales without even leaving the hotel
