Leading longhaul specialist Kuoni Travel has launched its 2008 Worldwide brochure, with over 50 new properties, 15 new tours and a range of exciting new destinations, offering the widest range of longhaul holidays of any UK tour operator. Supported by a new advertising campaign ‘No-one knows the planet like us. Visit soon.’, the brochure features a magnificent selection of relaxing beach holidays, fascinating cultural tours and thrilling safaris to thousands of exotic locations in over 60 countries on six continents.
As the Maldives continues to hold the Number 1 spot for longhaul travel, an entirely new region, the Addu Atoll, has been opened up to tourism for the first time. This southernmost atoll of the Maldives has a number of islands due to be developed into resorts, the first of which is Herathera, meaning ‘hideaway’, opened in November 2007.
Madagascar, with its beautiful landscapes of forests, lakes and rice terraces, unusual wildlife and fascinating culture has been introduced for the first time ever, with a superb tour – ‘Enchanting Madagascar’. Also brand new to the brochure is Antarctica, with an Antarctic Discovery tour, including a voyage on board the expedition ship MV Antarctic Dream. In South America, the beautiful ‘Lake District’ straddling the borders of Argentina and Chile, with its native forests, snow capped volcanoes, waterfalls and mountains is also featured for the first time.
