KUONI LAUNCHES NEW EGYPT BROCHURE WITH MORE TOURING AND CRUISING

Leading longhaul expert Kuoni Travel has launched its new dedicated 2007/8 Egypt brochure, offering an insight into more than five thousand years of glorious history and a fascinating culture. At 88 pages the brochure features an unrivalled selection of world class luxury hotels, multi centres, great value resort hotels, a wide choice of tours and Nile cruises.

New to the brochure are four hotels located in Cairo, Aswan and Sharm el Sheikh and two tours combining Egypt and Libya - Pyramids and Leptus Magna and Pyramids and Libya. In addition a new cruise itinerary – Lazuli Cruise  -has been introduced using ‘Dahabiyas’, beautifully crafted wooden boats which were traditionally used to sail from temple to temple. The Lazuli is propelled by two Latin sails, it has six cabins, a large drawing room, covered deck and sun loungers offering a luxurious atmosphere with the advantage of modern comfort and conveniences.

Sue Biggs, Managing Director says, “Egypt is a personal favourite of mine. As well as offering hundreds of stand-alone holidays to choose from, the scope for tours and cruising in this beautiful country is outstanding, offering visitors the chance to add an extra dimension to their Egypt experience by combining cities and sites on escorted tours with some fabulous beach destinations.

Our new brochure offers a wealth of choice for our customers.  They might choose to discover the many attractions of Cairo from its monumental Pyramids, to the tiniest medieval shops; visit Alexandria, the city of Cleopatra; the breathtaking temples and tombs of upper Egypt or even cross the border into Libya to explore stunning Leptis Magna, one of the best preserved cities of the classical world. Alternatively, they can evoke the nostalgia and romance of travel’s golden age on a luxurious Nile cruise or on board a Dahabaya. They can tour the treasures of Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel along with the lesser known historical gems of Minya and Fayoum, or experience the serenity of the oases.  In addition there are some superb beach options including five star luxury by the clear waters and vibrant life of the Red Sea as well as some great value resort hotels.”
