Day 1London/Windhoek
Fly Air Namibia direct service to Windhoek from Gatwick arriving the following day. On arrival transfer to the Safari Hotel for time at leisure to relax or you may wish to arrange sightseeing of the city.
Day 3 Windhoek/Kalahari
After breakfast, a four hour drive south, following the many changes of scenery to Mariental, the gateway to the Kalahari. Continue to Anib lodge your accommodation tonight, set overlooking the red desert of the Kalahari, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular nature drive in search of resident wildlife and bushman artefacts.
Day 4 Kalahari/Namib Desert
A long drive today along the deserted roads toward the Namib Desert, a massive expanse protected by national parks and reserves, that stretches along Namibia’s Atlantic coast and home to some of the world’s oldest sand dunes. Enjoy two nights at the Namib Desert Lodge, a simple homestead style lodge set overlooking open desert plains and under towering petrified sand dunes.Your two night stay includes an early start at the crack of dawn for a morning adventure to the breathtaking Sossusvlei following the rising sun and the shades of red that colour the dunes at dawn.
Day 6 Namib Desert/Swakopmund
A day of contrasts – driving through the Namib Desert northward, through mountain passes, river cut valleys before returning to the desert and the open flat plains en route to Swakopmund. On arrival transfer to the Hotel Schweizerhaus or similar, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and close to the centre of this seaside resort.
Day 7 Swakopmund/Damaraland
Today drive inland to Damaraland, a rugged mountain desert home to wandering black rhino and elephant as well as many other desert-adapted animals. Best seen at sunset the scenery is simply breathtaking. During your stay in Damaraland visit the Petrified Forest and the famous bushman rock art. Overnight at the Twyfelfontein Lodge.
Day 8 Damaraland/Etosha
Continue northward to Etosha National Park, one of the world’s most rewarding national parks. The next two nights will be spent at the a game lodge just outside the park. Game drives in the Etosha National Park are rewarding, and offer a chance to see an amazing variety of birdlife – some 300 species, as well as numerous big game.
Day 10 Etsosha/Windhoek/London
An early start and long drive south today, returning to Windhoek travelling through the central highlands and transferring to the airport for your Air Namibia flight to Gatwick. Alternatively extend your holiday with short breaks in Hermanus or Stellenbosch.
Hermanus Extension
Day 10 Windhoek/Hermanus
Return to Windhoek for your evening Air Namibia flight to Cape Town. On arrival transfer to The Marine in Hermanus, for three nights in a Standard room. The seafood here is to die for and an absolute must.
Day 13 CapeTown/London
Return transfer to Cape Town airport for your Air Namibia flight to Gatwick via Windhoek, arriving the following day.
Winelands Extension
Day 10 Windhoek/Stellenbosch
Fly Air Namibia’s evening flight to Cape Town and transfer to the D’Ouwe Werf Inn in Stellenbosch for three nights in a Classic room.
Day 13 Cape Town/London
Air Namibia overnight to Gatwick via Windhoek, arriving the following day.
