Fernie
The historic mining town of Fernie is renowned for its huge annual snow falls which averages nine metres each year - enough snow to cover a three-storey building! The spectacular terrain is a magnet for experienced skiers and riders however beginners and intermediates will revel in the soft powder that falls onto the gentle lower slopes. There are also plenty of unpretentious bars and restaurants that add to the town’s relaxed and welcoming ambience.
