Interlaken
Ideal for a winter break and an excellent base for non-skiers and skiers, with three world famous resorts and a combined total of 110 miles of skiing all on one lift pass just over half an hour away. The small town of Interlaken is the largest resort in the Bernese Oberland with numerous amenities and a varied choice of excellent ski resorts only 30-45 minutes away by regular train or bus. The Jungfrau Regional lift pass covers all the trains and ski bus to the three nearest resorts of Grindelwald, Wengen and Mürren. There are cafés, restaurants, a couple of bars, and a wealth of things to do for non-skiers; the famous journey up to Europe’s highest rail station at the Jungfraujoch, miles of spectacular walks in the nearby snowy mountain villages, an ice rink, indoor tennis and home to the Mystery Park .
