Lucca
Lucca’s tranquil narrow lanes wind among the medieval stucco buildings, opening suddenly to reveal imposing churches, quaint piazzas, and many other reminders of the city’s long history and vast heritage.
Lucca at first glance may seem too tidy to be true; its walls are just for decoration, with a double row of shady trees planted on top to make the elevated garden boulevard that extends clear around the city. Lucca is definitely a dream city.
