- Hike up to the Pyramidenkogel (2,789 feet) for magnificent views or try the Hohenrundweg, which circumnavigates the lake.

- The 174 mile long Drau trail leads past the lake but if you don’t want to cycle it all you can take bikes on the train and join the route in different locations.
