Astir Odysseus Resort & Spa

A family resort with plenty of activities

Set by the crystalline waters of an exclusive Blue Flag beach, this resort takes inspiration from Greece’s mythological tales.

Built with contemporary style and symmetry and infusing the stories of Greek mythology throughout, upon entering the main lobby you’ll find yourself in a minimalist gallery-like space where a statue of Poseidon rides a wave and the white walls are adorned with classic Greek art. There’s an emphasis on embracing the surrounding nature, from the pristine lawns to the magnificent lagoon-shaped pool that forms the centre of this impressive resort. It’s just steps to the glistening waters of the sand-and-pebble beach, where you can easily forget the time on a sun bed as you gaze over the sea to nearby islands and Turkey’s outline in the distance.

Why we love Astir Odysseus Resort & Spa

  • The location is ideal if you like to embrace seclusion and still be close to amenities; while it's peacefully quiet, Kos town is just a 10-minute trip away.

  • In resort, active guests are spoilt with a tennis court, watersports on the beach and a climbing wall to tackle..

  • With the resort's Exclusivi App you can order drinks to be delivered straight to your sunbed.

  • Many of the spa treatments have been created based on Greek traditions including black lava facials and deep tissue massages that were used in the ancient Olympic Games.

Enjoy the delicious themed buffet at ACHILLES restaurant, the resort’s main dining spot, treat yourself to the tasty barbecue lunch hosted at ARGO or take your pick from the à la carte menu at ITHAKA. There are also three bars located in the main resort, at the pool and on the beach.

ACHILLES
The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet-style and themed evenings.

ARGO
Head to ARGO, the resort's seafront taverna for traditional Greek dishes served with views of the Aegean.

ITHAKA
Mediterranean and international dishes are served at the resort's à la carte restaurant.

SIRENS
The main bar of the property offers morning coffees and live music in the evenings.

DAWN POOL BAR
Refreshments and fruity cocktails are served poolside.

We love the waterside setting of ARGO where a variety of Greek dishes are served with views across the Aegean.

Half Board • Breakfast and dinner (or lunch on request) at ACHILLES (drinks excluded).

The treatments at Aegeo Spa have been themed as 'cruises', based on rejuvenation, relaxation, beauty and weight loss. Many of the beauty treatments use local ingredients including black lava, olive oil and orange extracts.

There are plenty of activities to keep all members of the family busy. Tennis, boccia, yoga, table tennis, basketball and five-a-side football are just some of the sports available. Stretch your limbs with an attempt on the climbing wall or try moving the pieces on the giant chess board.

There are two outdoors pools with Jacuzzis, two children's pools and an indoor pool. A range of watersports are available at the beach and an introduction to scuba diving can be arranged.

Under the guidelines of the international standards, Astir Odysseus has implemented an environmental management policy. These practices include energy saving, reducing water consumption and managing waste. It supports the nearby communities through employment, sourcing produce locally and donating bedding, clothing and food to the vulnerable.

The Mini Club offers a range of activities for younger members of the family including crafts, painting, beach sports and lessons in vegetable cultivation.

Family rooms sleep four, have a separate bedroom area and a sofa bed with either a pool or garden view. Executive Suites are more luxurious, sleep up to five and are available with one or two bedrooms and a private pool. We love the seafront Maisonette, which has an exclusive shared pool, sleeps five and is spread over two storeys. There’s also the decadent Presidential Maisonette, which comes with a private pool and design-led interiors.
