Day 1 London/Washington

Fly on United Airlines from Heathrow to Washington arriving the same day. Pick up your car and drive to your hotel where you fly-drive pack will be waiting for you. Your next two nights will be spend in Washington, a cosmopolitan capital city packed with famous sights, free attractions and home to some of the world’s best known museums and galleries. Spend your two nights exploring all this powerful city has to offer and also experience the many hip restaurants and bars, great nightlife and good value shopping.

Day 3 Washington/Baltimore

Travel today northwards to ‘Charm City’ – Baltimore where there is lots to experience including a variety of upscale malls and designer shops and a fantastic restaurants. Enjoy a lively evening in Fells Point, where many old pubs have been restored and you can indulge yourself in some Chesapeake Bay cuisine. (Approx. 37 miles)

Day 5 Baltimore/Annapolis

Head east to lovely Annapolis, also referred to as the ‘Yachting Capital of Chesapeake’. Annapolis has a laid back atmosphere with awe-inspiring scenery. Take time to visit the Maryland State House which was completed in 1779 and the streets that surround it. The many narrow streets feature historic homes and buildings. Stroll around the waterfront area where you will witness many ships and where you can embark on a harbour cruise. (Approx. 30 miles)

Day 6 Annapolis/St Michaels

Take the next two days to explore Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Visit beautiful St Michaels which over looks a small picturesque harbour where you can enjoy local specialty crab. Browse around the quaint antique shops, ice cream parlours and enjoy the delightful ambience of this charming town. (Approx. 52 miles)

Day 8 St Michaels/Virginia Beach

Travel south down the Delmarva Peninsula today, to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and then on to Virginia Beach which has over 40 blocks of boardwalk making it the world’s longest pleasure beach! Enjoy some of the best seafood in town at Waterman’s Beachwood Grill overlooking the ocean. At night the beachfront area comes alive where you can witness beautiful and mesmerizng sunsets. (Approx 196 miles)

Day 10 Virginia Beach/Williamsburg

Head west today to Colonial Williamsburg, the most extensively restored 18th century town in America. A visit to Jamestown Island is a must where America’s first English settlement was established. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is open seasonally and combines 17th Century charm with 21st century technology. With over 50 thrilling rides and attractions, nine main stage shows and a choice of cuisine this is perfect for the young and young as heart.! (Approx 58 miles)

Day 12 Williamsburg/Charlottesville

Today drive through an area that Thomas Jefferson, called the ‘Eden of the country’. Visit his home ‘Monticello’ atop a mountain in Albemarle Country which is one of the country’s foremost architectural masterpieces. Stay in Charlottesville for the next two nights, a charming college town with many shops, restaurants and tea rooms. (Approx. 121 miles)

Day 14 Charlottesville/Shenandoah Valley

You final stop will be in Shenandoah Valley, known as Virginia’s crowning glory. Drive through rolling countryside, past gracious horse farms to the splendour of Skyline Drive. Travel this National Scenic Byway, stopping at various look out points to the valley below. With over 500 miles of hiking trails, you can relax and explore the lush forests, streams, waterfalls and wildflowers. Visit Luray Caverns which are the largest on the east coast. (Approx. 65 miles)

Day 15 Shenandoah Valley/Washington/London

Enjoy your final drive in this breathtaking region as you continue to Washington in time for your overnight flight to Heathrow with United Airlines arriving the following day. (Approx. 73 miles)
