Holidaymakers embarking on a journey to Switzerland can enjoy a special exhibition at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.

The event, called Hope, uses display technology and interactive elements to portray the "Olympic dream".

The travelling exhibition - which is visualised, designed and installed by Brussels-based De pinxi - is expected to boost luxury holidays to the destination.

Philippe Chiwy of De pinxi said: "Prior to the exhibition we had been in contact with the museum through different trade shows and exhibitions. So we were invited to submit a tender for this new exhibition."

The 700m² exhibition demonstrates the theme - "When sport can change the world". It aims to "provide an expression of the Olympic dream and present a humanistic, optimistic philosophy of life".

Chiwy added: "I think our proposal got the project because we incorporated more multimedia elements. We have worked with the museum for more than 10 years and we knew we needed to propose an innovative solution, mixing products and media. We wanted to be able to make the link between the two and establish a dialogue that provide context to objects using media."

The show is divided into eight parts - the Olympic DNA, Proclaiming equality, Pacifying exchanges, Giving everyone a face, Carrying on despite the dark days, Giving hope, Building hope and Believing.
