SUBIOS, the Seychelles Festival of the Sea, has been staged at the Bay of Beau Vallon on the island of Mahe.
The Seychelles Tourism Board teamed up with the island's Round Table to host the 2011 SUBIOS and Regatta together between November 4 and 6.
The move was aimed at providing a wider range of activities for the public and tourists taking Seychelles holidays. The festival, which provided entertainment from a floating stage, proved to be a great success.
The event's official partner publications - Asia Geographic group of magazines - helped SUBIOS get greater exposure on the world stage. The Official Airline of the festival was Etihad Airways.
Alain St Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, said: "This has enabled us to make the event more visible, and it has enabled us to make the event work for the Seychelles' tourism industry."
