The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a recovery campaign
to attract more tourists
The Beautiful Thailand drive is expected to encourage more people to
Take Thailand holidays by making them understand the country is once
again welcoming tourists with open arms following the recent flooding.
Renowned destinations such as Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Central
Bangkok were not affected by the flooding.
Although the World Heritage Site in Ayutthaya was hit by the floods, it
is now fully accessible to visitors amid an ongoing restoration project.
The site has already witnessed an increase in the number of foreign
visitors, suggesting luxury holidays in Thailand are back on the agenda
for many people.
Governor Suraphon Svetasreni said: "For the past several months, the TAT
has been reaching out to media worldwide and tour operators to give them
an accurate picture of the situation in Thailand."
