Taj Hotels, Resorts & Palaces is all set to add one more exciting abode for the benefit of the backpackers planning luxury holidays in North Africa.
Taj Palace Marrakech, in the lush gardens of the Palmeraie district overlooking the Atlas Mountains, is slated to be launched in autumn 2011.
The majestic palace hotel, conceptualised by renowned American designer Stuart Church, combines Ottoman, Mughal and Moroccan streams of architecture.
The structure has 161 guest rooms, including 25 grand suites and one royal suite to facilitate panoramic, enchanting views of the Atlas Mountains and the lush palm gardens.
Elegantly designed restaurants and bars serving a range of cuisine from Moroccan specialities to the finest tastes of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, and an extensive Jiva Grande Spa with 14 treatment rooms including Ayurveda are other highlights of the property.
"The hotel will fit perfectly in our portfolio with its meticulously crafted and vivid blend of Moroccan, Indian and Asian themes," said Raymond Bickson, chief executive officer of the Indian Hotels Company.
