A combination of stunning beaches and great food is on offer for Britons taking Thailand holidays this month.
The island destination of Phuket has kicked-off its annual seafood festival to give holidaymakers the opportunity to savour some of the best cuisine of the region at mouthwatering prices throughout August.
Diners will be offered meals under the "Good Taste Best Price" scheme at more than 60 participating restaurants around Phuket and Phang Nga.
Seafood dishes will be offered at up to a fifth of their normal price and there will be themed events and activities organised at several of Phuket's small towns.
Rawai will host a two-day "seaside seafood" festival during August 12-13, while other popular holiday hotspots including Patong, Kata, Chalong Bay and Nai Yang will hold similar events.
A speciality Lobster Week will get under way from August 12 to 21, with restaurants around Phuket taking part.
The Phuket Seafood Festival is an initiative of the Thai national tourism body and the island's local authorities.
