Philadelphia looks set to rival New York City as a top shopping destination following the launch of a new website, taxfreephilly.com.
The website is aimed at oversees visitors, especially from Britain, Germany and France, and provides a resource for tourists to browse bargains, plot shopping routes and enter competitions.
Internet users who log on can view the latest retail news and brush up on their knowledge of the historic city and birthplace of the American constitution. The site will also feature the latest deals on flights and hotels and an interactive map allowing visitors to plot their route and scout locations from over 200 department stores and shops.
The website will also have a price comparison tool where potential visitors can compare prices from brand name outlets and enter competitions to win special offers and gift vouchers. USA holidays to the east coast are great for retail therapy, with shopping malls packed with designer clothes, boutique stores and American diners.
Luxury holidays to Philadelphia get the best of both worlds as tourists can combine the American shopping experience with a tour of one of the country's most famous cities and home to much of its revolutionary history.
