An indoor park has popped up in New York City, offering a cure for cold weather blues.
Blink and you'll miss it, for the park will be gone by mid-February, but if you manage to get there in time, all the luxuries of a summertime park are on offer.
In the 5,000 square foot artificial habitat, located in the Manhattan neighbourhood Nolita, there are trees, rocks, picnic benches, giant cushions, a hammock and even a baby elephant.
Billowing through the trees is the recorded ambient sounds of Central Park. Activities have been organised throughout the park's existence, from ping pong competitions to outdoor movie nights, a trivia contest, wine tasting and football lessons.
"It's our rebellion against winter," said Jonathan Daou, founder and CEO of Openhouse Gallery, which holds the lease on the space.
So if you are heading on a USA holiday to New York in the next few weeks, head down to 201 Mulberry Street for a taste of luxury holiday style, al fresco.
