South African football club Ajax Cape Town are temporarily moving into one of the showpiece stadiums built for last year's World Cup.
Cape Town's 55,000-seat stadium at Green Point is to be Ajax's home ground for the next three seasons following an agreement with the city authorities.
A destination which has been traditionally for safari holidays, South Africa attracted huge numbers of visitors during the Fifa World Cup it hosted last year.
The event helped promote the country worldwide and the majority of South Africans feel it will have a lasting positive impact on the economy.
The stunning Cape Town Stadium complex has turned into a major city landmark and will now be the home of Ajax who were runner-up in the 2010-11 season of South Africa's Premier Soccer League.
George Comitis, the club's chief executive, said: "We are proud to be associated with the Cape Town Stadium and to call this our home."
