Car enthusiasts, and anyone with a love of Italian holidays or culture,
will be able to indulge their interest at a new museum opening
showcasing the life of Enzo Ferrari as well as his iconic cars.
The museum, in Modena - the city in the north of Italy where the founder
of the iconic motoring company was born - will open on March 10 with an
exhibition titled "The Origins of the Myth."
The cars themselves will of course be central to the exhibition but also
on show will be historical documents, memorabilia and original
audio-visual footage.
Spanning 5,000 square metres and costing 18 million euros, the museum
will be home to permanent and temporary exhibitions.
President of the Fondazione Casa di Enzo Ferrari, Mauro Tedeschini says
that the new museum is part of Italian cultural heritage and tells the
story of not only of a great figure but also the importance of motoring
in the area.
