Comedian Mike Myers is set to adapt Austin Powers into a Broadway stage musical, it has been reported.
The actor, who starred in the lead role in the spy spoof films, is believed to be in talks to write a musical version of the film for a New York run.
Although Myers will not appear in the musical, the actor will return to the screen as Powers having already agreed to write and star in the fourth instalment of the hugely successful film franchise.
Fans of the spy satire may well arrange USA holidays if reports of the Broadway show are confirmed over the coming months.
A source close to Myers told the New York Post: "Mike is in talks to turn 'Austin Powers' into a musical stage show.
"Mike would be heavily involved in writing the show, but he will not star in it, even though he has quite a good singing voice."
Meanwhile, production on Austin Powers 4 is expected to begin next year.
Theatre lovers arranging luxury holidays in the US will find plenty of other options on Broadway if Austin Powers isn't to their taste.
