The "paradox of simplicity and sophistication" provided by Marrakech is encouraging an increasing number of tourists from across the world to head to the Moroccan city.
Highlighting the plenty of things the city has to offer to people of all tastes, Faical Alaoui, trade marketing manager for the Moroccan National Tourist Office, said this is prompting international jetsetters and artists to choose Marrakech as their favourite holiday spot.
The tourism spokesperson said: "In fact, Marrakech is one of the few spots on earth where a vibrant and pulsating atmosphere reflects the mood, tones and legacy of the Moroccan society."
Morocco also caters to the interests of families going on luxury holidays, as well as adventure tourists.
The Atlas mountain range proves to be a huge draw for many tourists, while those visiting the North African nation can also take time off to enjoy camel trips through parts of the Sahara.
