The Association of British Travel Agents has predicted that tourism
hotspots in Italy and the USA will continue to be popular in 2012.
In their Tourism Trends Report the ABTA has predicted that tried and
tested trips for Italy holidays and USA holidays, whose culture and sights have long proved a draw
to tourists, will continue to be popular in 2012.
The report, developed in partnership with the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office, also predicts that both luxury holidays and budget breaks will
rise in popularity in the next 12 months along with specialist holiday
packages.
This is the result of a growing desire amongst holidaymakers to pursue
new experiences, which it is thought will translate into a strong 12
months for the cruise, exploration, activity and adventure holiday
sectors.
