Tourists planning for luxury holidays to India can have a look into the new packages for a different experience offered by Inntravel to three different states in the country.
The walking holidays specialist has teamed up with Village Ways, a sustainable tourism initiative, to organise the tours to Karnataka, Kerala and Rajasthan.
In India's intoxicating south, travellers can explore the exotically fragranced spice villages of Karnataka, and the labyrinthine backwaters of Kerala during a 16-night break.
Visitors will get to spend four nights at the Spice House in the village of Hulgol, Karnataka. They will also be taken to the city of Mysore, followed by a journey to Ooty on the world-famous Nilgiri Mountain Railway.
Another package includes a unique insight into captivating Rajasthan with dazzling palaces and forts.
Tourists are given an opportunity to explore the desert on a camel and stay in thatched roundhouses provided by peasant farmers in the village of Hacra.
During the eight-night holiday they can visit local craftsmen, shoemakers and weavers, take a day trip to the town of Osiyan and witness the annual migration of demoiselle crane between November and February.
Before heading to Hacra, travellers will have to take a train to Jodhpur from Delhi, the capital of India.
