Research has indicated that more and more people are opting for holidays in Morocco.
Figures released by the tourism ministry showed that the North African country recorded a 6.3% year-on-year rise in the number of tourists during the first six months of 2011.
The destination is popular among people who enjoy adventure and sightseeing tours as well as luxury holidays.
During the January-June period, the country saw a 7% rise in the number of British holidaymakers visiting its travel hotspots.
Morocco is well-known for offering an exotic blend of sunny beaches, ancient medinas and colourful souks.
According to a report, the country is emerging as a popular alternative holiday destination.
