Britons planning to take USA holidays can explore former Beatle George Harrison's life
and music as his memorabilia will be on display at a new exhibition in
the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.
Titled "George Harrison: Living in the Material World", the exhibition
will feature many of the items that have never been viewed outside of
Friar Park, the ex-Beatle's home in England.
The musician's widow, Olivia Harrison, has loaned a number of items that
span her husband's life, including Harrison's guitars and handwritten
lyrics.
The exhibition that opened last month will be an exciting addition to
travellers' tailor-made holidays to the US.
Running through February 12, the exhibit showcases handwritten lyrics to
Something, along with the lyrics for other songs, including "While My
Guitar Gently Weeps," "Here Comes the Sun" and "All Things Must Pass".
The high-collared tan jacket he wore for the historic 1965 concert at
New York's Shea Stadium and the elegant cream suit he wore at the
Concert for Bangladesh that he spearheaded in 1971 for charity are also
on display at the exhibition.
