Tourists planning on booking USA holidays next year will be delighted to hear about the latest development on the country's tourism front.
All national parks in the US will be open to the public for free on 17 separate days in 2012, including Veterans Day and the Martin Luther King Jr Weekend.
Presently, visitors to parks such as the world-famous Florida Everglades are required to pay a small entrance fee.
US Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar said these national parks "tell the story of America, from the beauty of our land to our struggle for freedom and justice".
Locations such as the Everglades National Park are immensely popular among visitors seeking tailor made holidays in the US.
The site, which is known for American crocodiles and alligators and also a number of other rare species, is visited by around one million people a year.
