Dubai is set to inaugurate the emirate's biggest mosque on July 29.

Al Farooq Mosque and Islamic Centre will be opened on a Friday just a couple of days before the holy month of Ramadan begins.

Sheikhs and rulers of all the emirates are invited for the opening of the mosque, which is inspired by the renowned Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

According to the Khaleej Times, the mosque is built on 4,200 square metres and is capable of accommodating 2,000 worshippers. The complex in which the mosque is built spans over 8,700 square metres.

Dubai's Blue Mosque is one of the biggest in the UAE and will cater to Al Safa area and its neighbourhoods.

Britons interested in taking Dubai holidays can visit the mosque to see the impressive architecture of the building which is built in the Ottoman and Andalusian styles.

The mosque has a library with about 4,000 Islamic and other religious books.

It also has a lecture hall which will host inter-faith dialogue.
