Emirates airline is launching two extra flights between Dubai and Mauritius in a bid to support the growing number of tourists to the Paradise Island.
The first of the two new services will start on November 4 and the next on December 6, bringing the total weekly Emirates Dubai-Mauritius flights to 11.
After the launch, Britons who are planning a long vacation may want to first take Dubai holidays and then fly to Mauritius for an adventure holiday.
The move, aimed to strengthen the country's support to Mauritius, will see the existing capacity increase by 22% a week per direction.
Majid Al Mualla, Emirates' senior vice president, Commercial Operations, West Asia & Indian Ocean, said: "We are standing by the destination at a time when the international outlook for travel is uncertain."
He added: "Emirates will work hand in hand with the Ministry of Tourism and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority to develop marketing campaigns to promote Mauritius across our strong global network. We will concentrate our efforts to increase the visibility of Mauritius in new and developing markets."
Robert Desvaux, chairman of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, said: "We value our partnership with Emirates and welcome the announcement of the additional flights. We look forward to develop joint campaigns so that both parties may benefit fully from this partnership."
The two additional flights, EK 3705 and EK 3706 will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays.
